The
acoustic design strategy for luxury boats and yachts is to
provide quiet and comfortable living spaces for the owners
and users. To achieve this the designers need to acoustically
protect noise producing areas from noise sensitive spaces.
Areas in boats where noise is produced:
Engine rooms
Occupant noise in the cabins and living spaces
Footfalls and other impacts
Lapping of water against the hull
Areas which can be considered noise sensitive:
All living spaces, especially cabins
CDM-UK supplies a full range of products and systems that
specifically aim to stop noise and vibration getting from
noise producing areas to noise sensitive areas. All products
and systems have been designed to maximise performance whilst
minimising the weight increase to the boat.

CDM-ISO-T-MARINE
Resilient Sound Insulation Battens
CDM-ISO-T-MARINE battens allow acoustic de-coupling
of wall constructions from the structure of a boat.
This maximises the sound insulation of a wall construction
along with providing vibration isolation de-coupling
from the structure of the boat.

CDM-ISO-CC-MARINE
Resilient Hanger Clip System
CDM-ISO-CC-MARINE system offers a quick and simple
system for the suspension of ceiling constructions
in boats. The novel design ensures a high level
of vibration and noise isolation

CDM-ISO-CORE-MARINE
Sound Insulation Boards with Central Damping Layer
CDM-ISO-CORE-MARINE boards offer the maximum of
sound insulation performance with the minimum of
weight. Used in conjunction with the other CDM-ISO-MARINE
systems high levels of sound insulation can be achieved
